Matisse by the Sea — Summer Art Camp June 29 – July 2 | 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM Dive into a colorful coastal adventure inspired by one of the most joyful artists in history — Henri Matisse! In Matisse by the Sea, young artists will explore whimsical seascapes, playful sea creatures, and bold summer colors while learning about Matisse’s famous cut-paper collage style. Throughout the week, campers will: Create vibrant ocean scenes using painted papers and collage techniques Design imaginative fish, coral reefs, and underwater worlds Experiment with shape, color, and composition inspired by Matisse’s artistic style Build confidence through creative exploration and process-focused art This camp blends fine art education with imagination and summer fun, encouraging children to create freely while learning real artistic techniques. Cancellation & Attendance Policy At Wonder Academy & Art Box Studio, camps and classes require advance planning, staffing, and material preparation. Because spaces are limited, the following policy applies to all registrations: Missed Classes & Camps We do not offer refunds or make-up days for missed classes or camps due to illness, vacation, scheduling conflicts, or no-shows. Credits (Case-by-Case Basis) In certain situations, a credit may be issued at the discretion of Wonder Academy & Art Box Studio. Approved credits: May be applied toward a future class or camp with available space Must be used for a program of equal or lesser value Are non-transferable and have no cash value Cancellations by Wonder Academy & Art Box Studio If a class or camp is canceled by us, families will receive the option of a full refund or account credit. Why This Policy Exists Our programs operate with small group sizes and prepared materials reserved specifically for each child. This policy allows us to maintain consistent staffing and provide high-quality experiences for all participants. Completion of registration and payment confirms agreement with all program policies.
